One Of The Dolphin Editors Needs Our Help

By Leonard “Lenny” Vasbinder, May 23, 2017

If you have been reading The Dolphin Newspaper the past couple of years, you may recognize the name, Meghan Henoumont.  As a student at Delgado Community College (DCC), she has also worked many jobs and wore many hats for The Dolphin Newspaper.  She has been a staff writer, managing editor, Editor-in-Chief, and advertising sales representative.

Meghan has given a lot to DCC and The Dolphin Newspaper.

And now, Meghan is asking us to help her friend, Joe Radosta.

“He was recently diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor,” said Meghan Henoumont, while writing about Joe Radosta.  Henoumont found out this tragic information on the same day that The Dolphin Newspaper found out that our Journalism program was one of the programs being eliminated at DCC.

“Joe has a 9-year old daughter, Francesca, and his family is stretched to their limits right now,” said Henoumont, who further stated, “Joe started chemotherapy yesterday, so we’re in a wait-and-see phase to see how he will respond to treatment.”

A YouCaring.com emergency medical account has also been set up to help raise some much-needed funds for his care and treatment.  You can read more and help with a donation (any donation helps) at https://www.youcaring.com/joeradosta-827674.

A special edition of Church* (a party formerly known as Bass Church), “Church* Love for Joe <3” fundraising event will be on Sunday June 4, 2017, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. at The Dragon’s Den, 435 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, La.  https://www.facebook.com/events/850783415087115/
