Delgado Vice-Chancellor Kathleen Curphy Resigned

From Staff Reports

Kathleen Curphy, formerly the Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Provost for Delgado Community College (DCC) “turned in her letter of resignation on Friday [May 26, 2017],” said Laura Sampson, Executive Dean’s office, by telephone in response to phone calls and emails.

According to earlier reports, Curphy was the primary party involved in the May 1, 2017, decision to cancel several programs at Delgado, including the TV Production and Mass Communications programs.

According to a DCC newsletter from Jan. 2015, “Dr. Curphy [replaced] Debbie Lea as Delgado Community College’s next VCAA. She has previously served as Vice President for Instruction/Chief Academic Officer at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.” http://www.dcc.edu/documents/student-services/studentaffairs/cp-newsletter-spring-15.pdf
