BREAKING NEWS — DCC TV Production Program Canceled

If you are a Delgado Community College Television Production or Mass Communications student working on your degree, you may be out of luck.

Rumors started around 1 p.m. today that the TV Production program was being canceled. Since then, more information has come to light that the TV Production and Mass Comm programs have been canceled.

This has now been confirmed by several sources, including two professors/instructors who have made public announcements.

A group of concerned students, instructors, professors, and possibly administration officials are meeting in the Student Life Center on Wed. May 3, 2017, at 9 a.m. The location will be near the front area of the SLC nearest the courtyard.

UPDATE May 1, 2017, at 10:12 p.m. — The college radio station, WXDR-LP 98.9 FM, may also be severely and adversely affected since Prof. Bob Dunn is the faculty advisor and the person that keeps the radio station running when things go wrong.

UPDATE May 2, 2017, at 5:40 p.m. — The group will be meeting in the front area of the Student Life Center nearest the courtyard.

UPDATE May 2, 2017, at 9:20 p.m. — Other adversely affected professors/instructors will be Prof. Lynn Robertson and Corinne Clements Russo and as mentioned above, Prof. Bob Dunn.
