If you live in New Orleans, chances are good that you have witnessed violence. This year alone, New Orleans has a murder count of 51, according to nola.com.

To let students, know what they can do to prevent violence, the MSCM 242 Public Relations class has created an awareness campaign, Kill Violence.   “You need to know how to recognize violence in order to prevent it and stay safe personally,” PR student Moon Nguyen said.

Events include Trivia Questions in the Student Life Center Wednesday March 29 at noon. Contestants who answer questions correctly will spin the prize wheel to win prizes provided by Sly Fox, who promotes movies and events.
