The 39th annual Crescent City Classic, the 10k race New Orleans natives love is only a few weeks away. The Crescent City Classic is one of the oldest and largest races in New Orleans and brings a diverse group of people together meet other people from the community, have fun, and sweat.

The 2017 Allstate sugar bowl Classic is for Saturday April 15 starting at 8 a.m. This 6.2-mile race will begin on Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans and finish in City Park.

A special point in running the Crescent City Classic is that you can do it all for charity. For example, participants create teams of 100 charity runners and all they are asked to do is commit to raising at least $200 for their charity by the day of the race. All the money they raise will be donated to their chosen charity.

The Official Charity Partners of 2017 are: Boys Hope Girls Hope New Orleans, Covenant House New Orleans, Girls on the Run New Orleans, The Kelly Gibson Foundation, Kickin’ Parkinson’s, Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation, Ochsner Clinic Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank Team Gleason, YOUTH Run Nola, 50 Legs, and Bastion, Community of Resilience.
