St. Tammany Lawmaker to host presentation about new campus

COVINGTON – State Representative Paul Hollis (R-Covington) will host a community meeting to let area residents learn more about the new Northshore Technical Community College campus in Lacombe. Joining Hollis will be Dr. William Wainwright, chancellor of the college.

“This is a great time for Louisiana,” Hollis said,” projected industrial growth is expected to create excellent jobs with excellent pay for educated, skilled individuals, and this campus will make sure our local residents have the chance to gain that education and those skills.”

The new campus will be home to a 23,000 square foot Advanced Technology Center to train industrial technicians of today and tomorrow, and a 30,000 square foot, state-of-the-art STEM facility (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
